- Teams in the 7-a-side & 9-a-side categories may make unlimited substitutions (roll on, roll off) — players need the referee's permission to leave and join the game.
- Teams in the 11-a-side categories may make five substitutions in total per match, from a maximum match squad of 18.
- Every age category is split into two groups. The top two teams progress to the Cup competition; all others go into the Plate or Bowl depending on group placing.
- Offsides are in play for U12–U15 age groups, at the referee's discretion.
- Deliberate heading is not permitted at U10 & U11, in line with FA guidelines introduced from the 2026/27 season.
- All age groups play on 3G astroturf, with the exception of U12 Girls, who play on grass.
- All football-specific rules are in line with FA standards.
